Mental and spiritual wellbeing are often ignored until they demand our attention. I believe a daily yoga practice is good preventative medicine. I offer individual or small group classes and specialised programs throughout the day to accommodate your busy schedule. Your mental and physical health is my top priority.
We offer private classes upon request, at your location of choice. Mats are provided, as well as props.
A typical class includes balancing postures to improve core strength, spine strengthening postures and deeper, nourishing stretches on the floor. In hatha yoga postures are sequenced to allow fluid movement from one asana to the next. Modified versions of postures are offered, making this class suitable for beginners and people with injuries. More challenging options are also offered to more advanced students. Each class ends with a relaxation and guided visualization with music.
*NEW TRAUMA INFORMED YOGA
This class is focused on helping trauma and PTSD sufferers feel safe and centred. I am passionate about working with sexual assault survivors but this can benefit many (no one is excluded). By using calm verbal cues, no touch, I can help the student stay in the present moment. This helps bring us out of our primitive brain where we may encounter anxiety and triggering memories.
